The Quiet Argument is a two-channel video installation of two hands arguing silently with each other in American Sign Language. Large video projection screens display the movement of the hands as the viewer walks between them to the very center of the argument.

The argument itself is one that we have inside of all of us. It is in our mind and in our heart, one that is carried with us wherever we go. Originally based on a Shakespearian quote from Hamlet, it has been updated and written not on paper, but in the space that divides us.
