Electric Bumper Cars is a basswood sculpture in the series of execution devices/amusement park rides entitled You Must Be This Tall.
Throughout the series of work, classic carnival amusement park rides have been fitted with execution or torture devices that have been used throughout history. The works speak of private and public experience, pain and pleasure, and governmentally authoritative retribution.
