Happy Octopus, Sad Octopus is a video installation of octopus bath bombs dissolving in water. The octopus is a highly intelligent creature with the ability to change color with its moods. In Happy Octopus, Sad Octopus, the red and blue colored bath bombs dissolve in water and transform into each other. The Happy Octopus slowly dissolves and turns into the Sad Octopus. The video then runs backward making the transformations complete. An original score is set to the video, with music running both forward and backward, creating a hypnotic and meditative atmosphere. The video is shot in 21:9 widescreen aspect ratio for a cinematic effect.
