The Angel Stars is an additional augmented reality work to the Ascension series that premiered at the 2017 Venice Biennale, and was created for OPEN20 on Giudecca that coincided with the Venice Film Festival.

The Angel Stars artwork represents the Hollywood movie industry, most notably classic film stars of the Golden Age of Hollywood and how that time period and mythology has affected and influenced the entire world. They can be viewed from locations on Giudecca and Lido, as the stars of yesteryear float for eternity over the Giudecca Canal and the Venetian Lagoon.
