The Reversal of Time is a sound installation consisting of six clocks housed in a clear plastic vitrine. A microphone has been placed inside the vitrine as well, and picks-up the sound of the mechanisms of the clock hands moving forward. The captured sound is then run through a computer program that reverses the sound, in real time, and sends it out through the speakers with the sound running backward. Although metaphoric, The Reversal of Time is the sound of time running in reverse.
