Sometimes Y is a sculptural installation cast in urethane using the artist’s own hands to form the letters used in American Sign Language. Each hand is captured in the moment, forming the individual vowels of A, E, I, O, U, and Y. This coded message, both physically and conceptually, invites the viewer to understand a language of the human form.
