Codex is an open book that’s been cast from clear urethane resin. Floating inside, trapped in the resin, are thousands of individually laser-cut letters. The word codex comes from the Latin word caudex, meaning “trunk of a tree”, “block of wood”, or “book.” A codex is the historical ancestor of the modern book.
Codex is both an ancient and modern enigmatic text captured together in time.
